FULL DAY12 HOUR SIX PACK SPORT FISHING

Long Range Fishing Trip - San DiegO

When you book a FULL DAY private charter, well... you going deep. Leaving well before dawn, and returning at dusk (or after), you will get your fill of fishing for the day. Bring some friends, and catch some tuna! You will have a huge swath of ocean within range.

Coffee, Water, Soda, and Snacks all being included. This trip includes morning donuts and coffee and lunch!

All of our private charters have your group being taken care of by a Captain, and two crew. Price includes Fuel, Bait, Boat, Tackle, and Rod & Reel rentals.

The only thing NOT included is a fishing license and any alcoholic beverages you wish to bring with you. (Coolers are OK!)

To make a reservation to join one of our open party charters, please call 619-508-7823.

This trip will take you to the middle banks off of the coast of San Diego about 25 to 50 miles offshore. During the summer months, we primarily target Bluefin, Yellowfin, Yellowtail, and Doroado. Not very often, but we also see Marlin, Bigeye, and Albacore Tuna as well.

After we pick up bait for the trip we head strait out to the Tuna Grounds. The trip can take anywhere from 1.5 to 3 hours depending on where the fish are. Our captains use Fishdope, Radio, and Sonar as well as visual cues from diving birds, kelp patties, or pretty much any sign of life that we see. During the times we are not on active fish, we troll Rapallas, Plugs, Feathers, and other trolling lures behind the boat, in the hopes that we will run over a school of hungry fish.

In the cabin, you will find a small frige with drinks and various snacks. Kick back on the provided seating and take a break if you need to. All of our boats come with a bathroom, and our larger boats feature a full stand up bathroom.

FULL DAY SUMMER FISHING IN SAN DIEGO

If we see a nice fat kelp patty, diving birds, or surface action we will motor up and announce it, so you have time to get the free line rigs ready and baited. Once we pull up, just drop your hook into the water and let it swim away while the reel is in neutral. When you feel the fish take off, put it in gear and fight the fish!

While we are trolling, if you hear the crew yell "HOOOOOOOKUUUP!" then jump to your feet and get ready to do battle. If you are the lucky one or two that get handed a rod with a trolling fish hookup, then start reeling hard and keep the nose of the reel high, as you battle the fish to within sight. When you see the fish, yell "COLOR' and one of our deckhands will come over with a gaff and put the fish on the boat for you. We tag the fish as yours and put them on ice.

FULL DAY WINTER FISHING IN SAN DIEGO

In the winter months, we can use this time to go to the Coronado Islands (passport required), the rock pile, or the south nine. All of these great spots will almost certainly produce limits of rockfish, and Lingcod! Shallower waters produce great halibut fishing as well. The south nine offers a great trip with no passports required.
